Delete your account
You can close your HOUSESTAFF account and remove your personal data at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and the few records the law makes us keep.
Option 1 — in the app
The fastest route. Deletion starts immediately.
- 1Open the HOUSESTAFF app and go to the Profile tab.
- 2Tap Settings, then Account.
- 3Tap Delete account and confirm.
Option 2 — email us
If you have lost access to the app, email us from the address on your account and we will verify it is you before deleting anything.

- Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore an account once it is gone.
- Cancel or complete any upcoming bookings first. Deleting your account does not cancel them or clear anything you still owe.
- Cleaners: make sure your final payout has landed. We cannot pay out to a deleted account.
What gets deleted
Within 30 days of your request, we permanently delete:
- Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo
- Your saved properties: addresses, rooms, access and key notes, preferences and photos
- Your saved payment methods and payout details (removed from our payment provider too)
- Your favourites, saved searches and appearance settings
- Your message threads, once they are no longer needed for an open dispute
- Your device tokens, so notifications stop immediately
- For cleaners: your public profile, rates, availability and services — it disappears from search straight away
What we have to keep
A small set of records is kept because the law requires it or because deleting it would harm someone else. It is locked down to the people who need it and is never used to market to you.
